We don’t need you to spoil us, we don’t need you to lavish us with gifts all the time (although the occasional surprise won’t hurt). We just want to spend some quality time with you, we want you to ask us how our day went, we want you to hold our hand when we’re walking with your friends, we want to talk to you when we wake up and before we go to bed, we want at least a little bit of your attention. We’re not toys. Don’t come to us only when you want physical affection. We cannot keep giving and not get anything in return. We love and love and it just hurts when you take our love for granted.
